Shortly after 8:30 this morning stations 5,7&8 were dispatched to Wordens Pond for a reported helicopter crash

Engine 18 Marine 7 and Unit 7 along with multiple other stations responded. Marine 7 Boat 8 and a boat from Kingston Fire were launched and headed to the scene of the accident. While enroute Boat 9 reported 2 people self extricated and were on board a private vessel. No one else was inside the aircraft. 1 patient refused treatment and 1 was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. ... (Full Story & Photos)

This morning just after 8am Special Hazards Rescue 6 and Engine 18 were dispatched to Route 1 North for a reported rollover with entrapment

Matunuck Fire Department, January 16

Chief 3 arrived on scene confirming entrapment and took command. Rescue 6 and The Hazards began extricating the driver of the car. Companies operated on scene for 45 minutes before returning to service. 1 occupant was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.... (Full Story & Photos)
